Resumen

En este artículo revisamos el rol que tiene la bioética en el ejercicio de la profesión de médicos y otros profesionales de la salud. En primer lugar, discutimos la relación que hay entre la bioética y la educación médica. En segundo lugar, presentamos los principios del profesionalismo médico y cómo la bioética es parte integral de dicho profesionalismo. En tercer lugar, detallamos cómo la bioética se relaciona con la práctica clínica. Finalmente, discutimos la bioética de los ensayos clínicos y otros estudios que involucran seres humanos.
