Relación entre la adherencia a los inhaladores y la calidad de vida en pacientes con enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica

Introducción: La EPOC se caracteriza por obstrucción persistente del flujo aéreo; el manejo busca mejorar la calidad de vida y reducir exacerbaciones, y la adherencia a inhaladores es un desafío frecuente. El objetivo fue determinar la relación entre la adherencia a los inhaladores y la calidad de vida en pacientes con EPOC del INERAM.
Materiales y métodos: Estudio descriptivo, correlacional, no experimental y cuantitativo. Se evaluó a 33 pacientes con TAI y CAT.
Resultados: ≥60 años 70 %; masculino 52 %. TAI: buena adhesión 55 %, intermedia 21 %, mala 24 %. CAT: bajo impacto 55 % (categoría predominante). Pearson entre puntuaciones de adherencia y calidad de vida r = −0,003.
Conclusiones: Predominaron buena adherencia y bajo impacto en calidad de vida, sin relación relevante entre ambas; otros factores podrían influir más en la calidad de vida percibida.
